Reaching Our World for Jesus

It sometimes seems as if there are few, if any godly people left in our planet. Communities are becoming more secular every day and attending church is not as common as it used to be in America. But God is working around the world!

I heard a statistic that almost 5,000-8,000 churches in America are closing every year! It is true that bad news travel faster than good news. We hear all about crime, drug dealing, violence and terrorism but the secular media seldom carries news of God’s doing here in America or around the world.

Just because we don’t get it in the mainstream media, doesn’t mean, God is not working. A few months ago I met a young couple. He was a member of a Satanist Church right here in DFW and she was a staunch Mormon. First, he got saved then he began to share Christ with her. She became a believer and then they got married! Recently, I was ministering in a high security prison in Texas and the Chaplain pointed to a Satan worshipper who had come down to the altar to accept Christ. Religion may be on the decline, but God is well and alive in America and around the world!

You may not know this, but in communist China, 25,000 people are accepting Christ every day. Researchers estimate more than one million followers of Christ in China! This is happening in spite of severe persecution, torture and even death! In India, a new church is planted every three minutes! The believers meet in homes, marketplace and even under the tree. A recent report states that 20% of Russia’s population converted from atheism to Christianity over the last decade. In the big picture, there is no doubt that God is working around the world.

Why then is Christianity on the decline in Europe and America? One of the reasons is we’re emphasizing on the wrong thing. Modern church is investing far more on building and real estate than building the lives of men, women and children. Most of the churches are not involved in world missions anymore. Believe me I’m not against building or reaching our local communities. But when we shift our focus from eternal to what is temporary we are being ineffective.

Everything about Jesus’ life pointed people to the Father and eternal life to come. We are missing the message of discipleship in the church. It is good to minister to the people’s need and talk about the good life here on earth but if we’re not challenging people to live beyond themselves and become a world Christian then we are doing us a disservice. John Wesley said, “Go not to those who want you, but to those who want you the most.” Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.” I believe the cheapest way we can fight terrorism is to export the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world once again!

During the Second World War, South Korea was devastated. There were hardly any believers there. But due to the American servicemen on the ground the Gospel spread. Today, almost 30% of Korea professes to be Christian. It also has the largest church in the world with over a million members. In the 1960s, Korea was one of the poorest countries in the world, with an annual per capita income of about $60. Today, it’s around $30,000. Wherever the Gospel goes, a transformation takes place.

At Build International Ministries, our goal is to spread the message of Hope and Healing to the most unreached. This year, our goal is to reach 500,000 people. From February 3-17, we are going over to minister in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. We urge you to consider getting involved in world missions this year. It is God’s dream that none should perish but come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Will you please pray? May be you can go or give to reach the nations? We will be delighted to represent you on the mission field. Together, we can win the world for Jesus!

“Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as your possession” (Psalm 2:8 AMP).

God Will Vindicate You

Have you ever been hurt, betrayed or misunderstood? These are universal offenses that have marred every one of our lives. If we are to live in the blessings of God, we have to take people off our potter’s wheel and let Him vindicate us.

When people do us wrong, it is easy to develop a negative attitude. It is human to want to get even and seek revenge. We think, “You hurt me so now I have the right to hurt you.” We have the right but it’s not always right to exercise our right! It feels good to our flesh to pay people back but it is contrary to the teachings of Christ and in the long run it affects us adversely the most.

Researchers are now saying that when we hold a grudge and carry an offence, it can cause long term damage to our immune system. If we do not forgive and let go of the crimes committed against us, we allow ourselves to be susceptible to depression, chronic illness and even mental breakdown. This is why it is wise to forgive and release the offender to God. The quicker we learn to master this process, the happier we will be.

In the Bible, David was anointed to be the king of Israel. He made grave mistakes but he had a humble heart. David was very loyal to Saul, then current king of Israel. But Saul got jealous. He made multiple assassination attempts to get rid of David. David on the contrary could have killed Saul but he understood this principle: God will vindicate him. Saul made David’s life miserable but David always found solace in God and He kept doing his best to run with God. Finally, Saul’s life ended in a violent death while David is hailed as one of the greatest kings of Israel. Saul is remembered as a villain while David is remembered as a man after God’s own heart.

Friend, I’m not making light of what happened to you. You do not deserve to be treated the way you have been. But if you let go of your pain and forgive the offender, then God will vindicate you. If you take matters into your own hands, God will stand back and let you handle it yourself.

You may have people at work talking bad behind your back. You may see other businesses prosper in deceitful ways. People may look down upon your family because you don’t wear the latest fashion or drive the latest car. Management may not promote you in spite of your excellent performance because you don’t compromise your Christian faith. People may look at you as a second class citizen because you have an addiction. No matter who or what causes you grief, let God vindicate you. When we bless our enemies who persecute us, the Bible promises us a special blessing.

The Word of God says, You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing” (Psalm 23:5). What is interesting here is when we allow God to fight for us He will not only make sure to pay us back in front of our enemy. Our opponent will see our promotion, joy, laughter and happiness. Does this sound good to you? Wait. There is more! When we allow God to vindicate us, He will make the enemy pay us back seven times more for all the troubles he has caused us. God always restores broken lives better than the original. You may look weak and outnumbered now but if God be for us, who can be against us? He is the Defender of the weak. Let’s pray for our enemies. Let’s not get bitter; let’s get better. Do not repay evil for evil and God who is the Righteous Judge will vindicate you in ways you have never imagined!

“Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will avenge you” (Proverbs 20:22 NIV).

Think Outside the Box

Often we get stuck in a rut. When life throws us a curve, we tend to do what we have always done before or, at best, choose the path of least resistance. This may be comfortable, but if we don’t think outside of the box we could be missing out.

One of the greatest mistakes people make is that they don’t take time to think. Our lives are so full with pursuing career, activities and jammed packed schedules, that we rarely have time to reflect on our lives. When we don’t think, we yield ourselves to life in a rut. Before we know it, thirty years have flown by and we are still trying to “live” life. Today we will discuss how to think outside the box and enjoy life.

Think outside the box; inside it’s all dark! Our current job, security, marriage, friendships, health, retirement are results of the decision we made. If we don’t learn from our mistakes or live intentionally, our world will come crashing in again and again. The beauty of our God is that He always has another way. His ways are not always conventional to human thinking, and that’s why we have to be open to His ideas to lead and guide us in life.

Often we are so programmed to activities that we almost feel guilty about sitting still. When we calm our nerves and sit in the presence of God, the Holy Spirit has access to speak into our spirits. We will be in a position to make better judgment calls. We serve a Supernatural God and He wants us to live a supernatural life.

In the Bible, Jesus was going about ministering to people, when He came across a blind man. The disciples asked, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?” Jesus said, “This happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” Similarly, God will be glorified in the situation you are facing today. When He resolves your problem, you will brag on the goodness of your God. In this incident, Jesus spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it in the man’s eyes. Then he told him to go and wash in the Pool of Siloam. The man went, washed, and came home seeing! This was out of the box thinking, but God was in it all along. God may be directing you in ways that you have never considered before. Yield to the Holy Spirit and you will see results.

Years ago, my two brothers and I lived in the Land of Mt. Everest, called Nepal. We were doing missionary work there. We didn’t have a lot of resources available, and one day we just ran out of money. There was only a handful of rice. We looked at each other and thought God had let us down that day. Trying to be religious, one of us opened the Bible to read something, and out fell a ten dollar local currency bill! We didn’t know how it got there, but straightaway we went and bought ten eggs. I still remember how good they tasted! Today I can look back and say, that was God thinking outside the box, providing for our needs.

Friend, what impossible situation are you facing today? This year, God is doing a new thing. Let me declare a blessing over you. He will heal your sick body in a supernatural way. He will provide you a job from unexpected sources. He will bring you a life partner you’ve been praying for. Your legal situation will work out in your favor. There will be a transfer of wealth, and your debt will disappear. You’ll move from living in an apartment to your dream home. Your children will serve God. You will go on the missions trip you’ve been planning on. Let God take charge of your life. His ways are higher than ours. His plans are better than our plans for ourselves. If you think outside the box and believe in the promises of God, you’ll eat the fruit thereof.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him” (Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV).

Adopted Into the Family

God made human hearts to belong. Yet many people go through life feeling lonesome and deserted. They do not feel loved or worthy to experience anything good in life. If they get any good brakes in life, they wait for the other shoe to fall out.

When we live with a nagging feeling inside thinking we are not good enough; we’re not worthy of anything good, we are sabotaging our own future. When become born again, we become part of God’s family. We are new creature with new feature. Regardless of our earthly parents, we inherit a new bloodline. God’s DNA becomes ours. When we are not thinking, talking and acting like God, we are belittling Him.

A few months ago, our neighborhood cat gave birth to some cute little kittens. My children begged me to keep them. Reluctantly I agreed. Now they are the greatest source of entertainment. At times when my kids come home, the kitties get more attention than I do. I feel jealous! Seriously, one thing I love about these cats: somehow they know that they belong to our family. When the fridge or the pantry door is opened they boldly show up and usually get what they want. At times, when I’m sitting on the couch working on my computer, they cuddle up next to me or try to climb over my body and sniff my nose! They have no inhibition. They have no fear acting like they belong. They should have been stray cats fending for themselves but thanks to my kids, they are living a royal life!

The Scripture says that while we were yet sinners, Christ loved us. He gave up heaven for us. He lived a sinless life. He took the beatings on His body for our healing. He offered up His life for our Salvation. When we come into the family of God, we inherit everything heaven has. We are grafted into the family of God. In heaven, there is no crying, sighing or dying. There is no lack, sickness or betrayal. There is no sin, addiction or mental torment. Heaven is where God lives and His peace and tranquility rules over everything. I’m not saying when we have Jesus we will not face any problem. What I am saying is in spite of our troubles; we can experience heaven on earth. The Holy Spirit of God who lives in us is our Comforter and our Helper.

Friend, you may not feel much today. Life may have battered you down. You may be facing some impossible situations. Remember, that you have been adopted into the family. You are the child of the Most High. You belong to the Royalty. You and God are family. You are joint heir to the throne along with Big Brother Jesus. Have no fear. Like our cats, cuddle up next to God and sniff His nose! Go to His storehouse boldly. Membership has its privileges. You have access. Everything God’s belongs to you. He is not a stingy God; He is the God of abundance!

This all may sound good but you ask, “Sandy, how do I appropriate all that God has for me?” Thank you for asking. Receive! Just receive. One of the greatest hindrances to receiving from God is our stinking thinking. We think we are not worthy. We think we have to perform. We think we have to bribe God with good behavior. These are good religious thoughts but they are like filthy rags to God. We can never impress God with our good works. We can only receive by faith what He made available through the Cross. We either chose to belong to the family of God and enjoy His blessings or we go through life struggling thinking life sucks!

Today, let me challenge you to come before the throne of God boldly in times of your need. God is craving for your attention and your dependency on Him. God wants to heal your sick body. He wants to wipe away your tears. He wants to be your husband. He will provide for you abundantly. He is the Defender of the weak. His strength is made perfect in your weakness. You are a royalty! You are adopted into the family of God. He is waiting to heal your pain and fill you with His purpose. Will you receive? I pray and proclaim; you will experience everything God has for you. In Jesus’ name!

“But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind” (Isaiah 40:31 The Message).

How to Obtain Your Dream

We’ve all had dreams that once we believed in. Most people in life give up on their dreams because they encounter a setback or get hurt in the process of realizing the dream. Broken dreams are like gift wrapped boxes that never got opened.

We all know people who started with great dreams but somewhere along the way, they gave up on their journey. There are many reasons why people abort their dreams but none of them are good excuses to settle for mediocrity. Today we will discuss how to realize our dreams.

IMAGINATION is one of the most powerful tools God has given us. Yet, very few people stop long enough to use their imagination. The dictionary describes imagination as the ability to imagine things that are not real: the ability to form a picture in your mind of something that you have not seen or experienced.” We create things into existence through our imagination.

In the beginning of history, people had gathered together to build a tower of Babel that would reach heaven. God said, … nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do.” That’s the power of imagination! When we have the right mental picture of who we are and what we’re going to achieve, we will eventually bring about our dreams into reality. Take time to think and imagine how things can alter your life and others in the immediate future. The Bibles calls it faith!

The next step to appropriating our dream is our WILLINGNESS. I have met too many people, including myself, who say they want things to change but our action does not show it. Mark Twain said, “We can achieve what we can conceive and believe.” Unless our willingness is greater than our excuses we will not obtain our dreams. Anything worth having will require a fight. Focus more on your desire than on your doubt.

Jesus said, “The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.” It is not enough to have the right mental picture of your dream. With it we must also be able to pay the price. It is going to cost us something. When we are willing to put a plan in motion, then we will begin to see our dream unravel.

The third step of obtaining our dream is CONCENTRATION. Athletes do it all the time. This is our mental ability to focus on the task at hand. One way to maintain focus is to set goals on specific aspects of our dreams. For example, if your goal is to obtain your dream car, you have to first see yourself sitting in it. Learn what make or model of car you want. Set an achievable deadline for your purchase. Then you may want to go to a dealership and ask for expert advice. Later, you may want to go for a test drive to see how everything feels. Once you have taken these steps then you can make an educated decision to buy your dream car.

Focus on the reward not the pain. Jesus was the prime example. His purpose on earth was to redeem mankind. No matter how painful it was He never lost concentration. Even on the cross, He surrendered to God’s will. Jesus kept His eyes on the reward till the end. Joy, health, relationship, peace and prosperity will be yours if you keep your concentration and move forward.

Friend, this is your year! I declare that you will accomplish every dream God put in your heart. It may be something since you were a child. It could be dream that you have given up on. Remember, God never aborts a dream. If you dare to dream again, God is big enough to bring it pass. Let your imagination begin to soar. Commit to the process even though it’s painful. Concentrate on the task at hand. Divide up goals into priorities and bite-size pieces and then take action. When you dare to dream again, nobody can stand against you. Go for it dreamer. I believe in you!

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it(I Corinthians 9:24 ESV).

Raise Your Expectancy

What a great start this year has been! I do not know about you but God has already blown the socks out of my feet. He is superseding all my expectations. I believe God wants to do the same for you in 2014.

One of the greatest things people struggle with is low expectation. They almost feel guilty about going to God and praying BOLD prayers. Yet, our Father’s desire is that we trust Him beyond our wildest dreams. I have learnt that the bolder we are with God the more audacious He is to fulfill our expectations. The Scripture says, “God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His children.” Raise your expectancy!

Most people go through life dry, dead and in despair because they never understood the Father heart of God. While we should never treat God like a good-luck-charm or Santa Clause, we must remember that at the heart of God is mercy. He does not give us what we deserve but much more than what we can ever comprehend. You can never expect too much from God. His thoughts and ways are higher than our puny minds. Raise your expectancy!

In 1 Chronicles chapter 4, Bible talks about a man named Jabez. We do not have much detail about his life. His name indicates pain and sorrow. Jabez grew up hearing his name associated with the worst yet he honored God more than his brothers. Maybe you have experienced life to be pain and sorrow. People have treated you wrong. You have received the bad end of the deal. Maybe you made a bad choice. No matter what brought you to your current state of affairs, God is looking down on you with favor. This is what happened to Jabez. He got tired of the status quo and he cried out to God, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.” Friend, you do not have to twist God’s Hand to bless you. You do not have to bribe with good works. It is in His nature to be a good Father to you. If you will be bold enough to ask, God is bold enough to do it.

I read a study about baby locusts. They do not have the most aerodynamic body. Before these young critters can even learn to fly, they can jump up to two hundred times the size of their body. They know by instinct, when the wind condition is right. When the tree top begins to rustle, it’s their time to jump. Then they catch the wind and ride for miles without any effort. In the same way, today I’m rustling your faith and sounding an alarm. God is saying, “It’s your time to jump in faith.” When you do, He will make you ride your God-fortune beyond anything you could have ever imagined. It’s time for you to raise your expectancy!

I was visiting with some friends from out town. They are honest and good hearted people. They have worked tirelessly. But over the years they had some setbacks. People in the past had let them down. I told them what I’m telling you. Our past experience does not have to dictate our future. Today is a new day. God’s wind of favor is blowing in your direction. All you have to do is to jump in faith at the opportunity God brings you. It is God’s job to make sure that you catch the wind that will thrust you into the amazing future He has for you. Raise your expectancy!

Friend, don’t let another year slip you by without experiencing everything God has in store for you. The moment of God’s favor is here, right now. Yield yourself to the wind of the Holy Spirit. Pray BOLD prayers. Like the baby locusts, take the leap of faith. When you jump, God will make sure to send His wind of favor to take you to your destiny. Raise your expectancy. God is about to blow your mind with His goodness!

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him” (Psalm 62:5).

You Are Awesome

Many people struggle with who they are. They do not like the way they look. They think they have nothing to offer to the world. They have given up on life. The truth is we are made in the image of God. You are awesome!

When we think of the majestic Himalayas, it is easy to marvel at God’s creation. When we look that the vast oceans and the creature in there, we can only marvel! We watch a documentary about space and spectacular creation we cannot but acknowledge God’s greatness. But did you know God’s greatest creation is you?

The Bible teaches us that we are made little lower than the angels but at the end of the day, we will judge the angels! The Word says, before we were born God knew us. He put a blessing on us before anyone could curse us. The blessing always overrides the curse. Many people look at themselves less than what God made them to be. If we are to make the most of life, we have to see ourselves as God does.

People go through life thinking very little about themselves. They think they are not good enough. I am here to remind you that God never makes anything inferior. The color of your skin, your height, and the country you were born were all part of God’s divine plan. Where you are today may not be where God wants you to be but everything about you is part of God’s original design.

Sometimes we blame our parents or background for the way we are – not too much of this or a little too much of that. Fact is God chose our parents. He doesn’t make mistake. If you do not like the way you were born you can be born again! When we accept Christ, God becomes our DNA. We are not God but His character, strength and power become readily available in and through us. This is the great exchange – sinners become heirs of God. Accept your royalty in God and take your position with Christ in heavenly places. Your seat has been vacant for too long. You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Often we allow other people to dictate our lives. Parents, teachers, spouse or people in authority may have told us we will never amount to anything. We believe that lie and sit on the sidelines for years. Helen Keller, Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Winston Churchill, Jesse Owens, Walt Disney, Paul Yonggi Cho all came from a humble beginning but what history they made in the world! Today as you stand at the commencement of this year, remember that the seeds of greatness are in you. God is no respecter of people. His eyes are fixed on you and His Hands are stretched to help you claim your stake in history. He has given you another 365 blank pages to write your story. It is up to you to decide how the story will read. Do not limit God. Silence the voice of the enemy and embrace what God has for you this year.

One mistake people often make is that they are led by their emotions. Feelings are fickle. Do not be led by your feelings. Our feelings are like waves crashing on the beach. You cannot stop the waves from coming but you can choose which wave you want to ride on. Friend, be led by the Holy Spirit. God will speak to you loudest about your life than through any other person. God is in speaking terms with you. If you stop long enough to listen, He will tell you what you should do. Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. Let’s stick with Him so we can bear much fruit this year.

Friend, God is not through with you. Instead, He has an amazing future waiting for you. He has crowned you with goodness and favor. Don’t condemn yourself. Don’t commit suicide. Your name is written in His Book and your picture is engraved on His Hand. He loves you more than you’d ever know. You’re created in His image. You belong to His royal family. You will surpass anything your parents ever achieved. You and God together are a majority. You are loved, celebrated and I am praying for you.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10 ESV).

God’s Plan for Your Life

As we stand at the threshold of a new year, it is important that we know God’s will for our lives. Many people are uncertain about God’s love for them and what He wants them to do with their lives. I have Good News for you. God’s wants to give you a hope and a future that you could have never comprehend.

Today we will discuss God’s thoughts on five areas of our lives. If we can grasp the concepts of these pillars, we will excel and exceed in every area of our lives.

Get cozy with God. If you want to gather honey, don’t kick the beehive. Our vertical life on earth will only be as fruitful as our horizontal life with God in heaven. When we do our best to honor God with what we know and what we have, we invite God’s unprecedented blessings upon our lives. When we hold on to things that displeases our Maker, we delay our own promotion. God is poised to take you to the next level but you must deal with what’s He’s showing you. If we take time to connect with God in the morning (or any other routine time suitable for you) then God will bring us people to connect with all day long. Put God first and you’ll do a roaring trade in life.

Invest in your family. Our relationship with our family is an indicator of our relationship with our God. When we love, cherish and value the family God has given us, we’re watering our own garden. Often we’re readily available to help others. Don’t advance your career at the expense of your family. Wise King Solomon lamented, They made me keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.” Spend time with your family. Love and serve your spouse. Speak positive words of encouragement and affirmation over them. Give them something to live up to. People are not mind readers – compliment them frequently. Forgive quickly and add honor to each other. Kids spell love T-I-M-E. Don’t just give your best to your company and bring your leftover to your family. Live a balanced life. At the end of your days you will not ask for another day at the office but your loved ones to be with you. Your family is the greatest treasure you have. Invest now, reap later.

Make new friends. It’s comfortable to be friends with people you know. If your friends look all the same, eat the same food, speak the same language and listen to the same type of music, you’re living a very shallow life. Enlarge your circle of friends. Meet new people. Network, go to church, and celebrate with others. Be in the marketplace. Be visible. Communicate. The more you’re investing in others the more God will open doors for you. Make new friends but remember it’s better to have a few good and Godly influences than to drown with the ungodly. Seek out positive, life-giving, lifter-uppers who will cry with you when you’re down and dance with you when you’re up.

Master your money. Money isn’t everything in life but it touches everything important you want in life. If we’re going to be unruly and undisciplined about money, we won’t go very far in life. Our material society has elevated money to be a deity. Never set making money as your goal or let money be a motivator. Instead of wanting money, seek to bless others. The Kingdom of God works in reverse – the more you give the more you’ll receive. Beginning of this year, decide how much you want to give away and then watch God channeling funds through you like never before. Become a conduit. The only thing going to heaven is people; invest in them. Pay your bills ahead of time. Chip away at your debt; you’ll overcome. Believe God for explosive financial blessings from unknown sources. Make God your Source!

Get active. Your body is not only where you live but it is where God lives. When we honor God with our body by doing proper exercise, sleeping enough hours and paying attention to what we eat and drink, we will reap the benefits thereof. Health is wealth. What you do now with your body is how good you’ll look, feel and enjoy in the years to come.

Let me leave you with God’s promise for your life. God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us” (Ephesians 3:20 The Message).

7 Seeds that will Bear Much Fruits in 2014

Welcome to another New Year, individually Handcrafted by God for you with favor, blessings and power to impact the world. This year you’ll overcome every obstacle, difficulty, setback and sorrow. Get ready for God’s goodness to overwhelm you!

As the New Year unfolds, it is imperative that we understand that we are designed to succeed. Make plans, take corresponding actions and give God your very best. What we can attain by ourselves is nothing compared to what we can achieve with God. Today, let’s look at a few principles that will ensure our success in 2014.

Focus on the goodness of God. When flipping your calendar, consider the things God has already done for you. Remember the blessings and not the difficulties. When we have an attitude of gratitude, we will always have something to be thankful for. When we are thankful, we will attract more of God’s blessings in our lives.

Let go of the past. Do not maul over what did not happen. If we spent all our energies remembering and replaying our failures we will have very little left to build something new. Today is a new day! Let’s walk through the rooms of our lives not looking at our flaws but tapping into our potential. Break out of your cocoon; let the butterfly fly.

Know who you are. Many people are sitting on the sidelines today because they have a poor mental picture of themselves. They do not feel that they deserve anything good. Negative experience in life has sucked the joy out of their lives. Don’t let that be you. Remember, you are a child of the Most High. You belong to the Royalty. You and God can do anything. You’re not defined by what others say; you are what God says – son, friend, loyal, conqueror, victorious, loving, kind, gentle, patient, healthy, prosperous, peaceful, dream-chaser, vision-fulfiller. How you see yourself on the inside is how you will experience life in reality.

Write down goals, dreams and desires. Power is released when we write things down. Be in prayer and anticipation for God to give you a God-size dream. If your vision does not include “impossible” you’re thinking too small. Mark Twain said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you did not do than by the ones you did do. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Friend, only you have the power to decide how high you fly and what happens to you in life. Do not limit God. He is not only with you, He is for you.

Speak God’s Word. What comes out of your mouth has the greatest impact in your life. Let us speak positive, uplifting, kind and considerate words over ourselves and others. Do not let circumstances dictate our words. Speaking God’s Word over our lives overrides anything contrary in our lives. Sickness will have to go. Family members will be saved. Debt will be eliminated. Peace will flow. Our words have creative power to change things.

Take time to grow. We begin to die the day we stop learning. No matter how much you know, dedicate yourself to learning something new about God, your spouse, family, friends and fellowmen. Read books, Listen to podcast, attend church, find a mentor. You’re created for more.

Help others win. Selfishness is the greatest enemy to our soul. What we do for ourselves will fade away like a vapor. What we do in the name of Christ will remain forever. The greatest gifts you can give away are priceless – smile, encourage, hug, listen, serve, teach, pray and the greatest is to love unconditionally. Friend, I’m praying that 2014 will be an Ahh-Mazing year for you and yours!

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. ~ Walt Disney
